    2019 Resolutions and House Goals

Last year was the first time I came up with concrete resolutions for myself.  Throughout the year, especially when I felt very overwhelemed, I found myself thinking back on the goals I set for myself and was able to use them to focus on what was really important and work through the stress.  Of course some I did better on some than others (I gotta say I ORGANIZED the pants off 2018!), but growth doesn’t stop just because the year does so I’m carrying on some of the areas that still need improvement into this year’s resolutions.   My 2019 Resolutions   HAVE FUN – If there’s one over-arching theme…

    Things I’ll Miss About Pottstown

Blake’s School – He went there since he was 8 months old and just about every teacher/kid/administrator knew who he was.  Really hard to take him away from that Giovanni’s Pizza – If you’ve ever eaten there with us, you know exactly why it will be very hard to live without this place! The Schuykill River Trail – perfect place to take the boys and Cash to stroll and throw rocks.  Happy that we got lots of pics during our last family photo session Craft Ale House – We will definitely be making treks back to this place, but it’ll stink not living only 10 minutes away The Spring Valley…

A Message from President Obama about Your Petition on Reducing Gun Violence

By Bruce Reed, Chief of Staff to Vice President Biden In the days since the tragedy in Newtown, Americans from all over the country have called for action to deter mass shootings and reduce gun violence. Hundreds of thousands of you have signed petitions on We the People. I’m writing you today to thank you for speaking up, to update you on an important development, and to encourage you to continue engaging with the White House on this critical issue. First, you should know that President Obama is paying close to attention to the public response to this tragedy. In fact, he sat down to record a message specifically for…

    4 more years!!!

Just want to take a moment to enjoy the wonderful feeling I had waking up this morning;  I know that the last four years haven’t been perfect, but I still have HOPE that this country is going in the right direction and that the future is getting brighter for my little man.  Also wanted to share this awesome Thank You email that my dad got from the man of the hour himself…makes me unbelievably proud of him and all of his hard work: David — I’m about to go speak to the crowd here in Chicago, but I wanted to thank you first. I want you to know that this…

    Favortie Summer Olympic Sports

I am so psyched for the Olympics to start on Friday night!!   I am a total Olympics junkie….all 3 DVRs in my house will be recording all day long and I will be catching everything else I can online.  Me and Jon are planning on playing the opening ceremonies drinking game for the second time (you guess how many athletes are competing from the next country in the parade…whoever is the furthest off has to drink) and I am super excited to see what the Brits do for entertainment.  Sure, their presentation at the 2008 Olympics was a little lackluster especially after the crazy Beijing opening ceremony, but they…

    Tragedy in Colorado…..

Although I try to keep this blog as positive as I can, I would feel extremely trivial if I didn’t at least acknowledge the tragedy that happened in Aurora, Colorado last night.  As I get things ready for Blake’s birthday tomorrow, my heart is heavy thinking about the parents who lost their children last night for absolutely no reason. I would like to say that I know over the next few days we’ll start to hear a serious discussion about gun control in this country, but sadly that’s not true.  Instead, we’ll hear about how the movie is to blame, or how if everyone in that theater had a gun…
